4g service

I have never had any 4G coverage anywhere since I upgraded my contract. The only reason I upgraded was for a better service and if this cannot be resolved then im cancelling my direct debit and not giving vodaphone another penny.

I can see some people on here have had issues with coverage, but i checked the service checker and nothing came up for my area.

please can someone help.

It's worth running through the following list of troubleshooting steps on this thread.

There's a template you can fill in and post back to Vodafone if you still have no luck (also included in the above thread)

Are you able to connect via 3g or 2g @fudge1374

The terms of your contract wont say you have to receive 4g.

They'll connect you to the strongest available connection available at the time.

If you cancel your Direct Debit then expect restrictions on your service followed by in the extreme suspension of service, debt collection agencies and a Default on your Credit File lasting 6 years causing issues when trying to apply for finance and other mobile contracts etc.

I hope your venting and do not cancel it.

thanks for the replies, I'm annoyed because I always used to have good 4g coverage in my home and it always used to work whilst out and about.

This 4g connection has been lost only when I upgraded to a new handset and since then ive never had it and this is why ive come on here for support. Ive viewed the template but mostr of this doesnt help as it is everywhere

thanks

Some phone' have specific connection preferences in them.

Some have the option to toggle 4g.

Just as a process of elimination can you insert your sim card in another phone to test to see if the sim card or phone is at fault.

If your receiving a data connection of 2g and 3g then Vodafone are fulfilling their obligations.

Hi @fudge1374 what is your new phone?

As @BandOfBrothers has mentioned have you checked your settings to ensure the 4G toggle has been set correctly?

I upgraded from the iphone 6 to the 8. The 4g setting is selected just never ever works and I tested this in my sons iphone 7 last night and it still didnt get 4g on his phone.

he is also on vodaphone and gets 4g at home and in the area like I used to

@fudge1374 This sounds like it may be related to your SIM or your account.

So we can take a closer look into why you're unable to connect to 4G, I've sent you a private message with details to contact our team.

We'll then be in touch to ensure everything is as it should be from our end.
