Call+ and Message+ - how to uninstall or disable?

I have a Smart Ultra 6.

Is there any way to uninstall Call+ and Message+ or, failing that, to permanently disable them?

I've tried going to the app and clicking "Disable" - it appears to uninstall, but then reappears the next time the phone is charged!

Hi,

From the Help and Support Pages...

How-can-I-remove-the-Message-app.

How-do-I-turn-off-Message+ and-Call+ so-I-can-text-as-normal.

Yes, I glanced at the Help and Support page but it's not very much use. Have you actually read what those topics have to say? Do you have any idea how useless they are?

The first one says: "You can delete the app from your device or you can turn off the ‘Enable Message+ Service’ within your device’s settings."

As I mentioned, I have already tried deleting the app, but it comes back. And as for turning off the "Enable Message+ Service" - where is this setting?

As to the second topic, "How do I turn off Message+ and Call+ so I can text as normal?", this unhelpfully says "The exact steps to return to standard texting will vary from phone to phone, but the typical way of doing this on Android would be to go to Apps> Settings >More Connection Settings> Default Messaging App> Select Default Manufacturer Message Service."

See? Not at all helpful (as usual), which is why I am asking in this forum for some assistance.

Sorry they didn't help.

I hope another member can expand further.

If not perhaps a Vodafone Highstreet Store employee can help in house.

@MCG65 - Take a look here for more help on how to disable this function.

Whoever maintains the Help & Support pages really needs to update that sometime - it should read "Settings > Wireless & networks > More > Default SMS app".

But anyway, I already have Messenger set as the default SMS app.

I was also wondering how to prevent Call+ and Messenger+ re-installing themselves.

Update...

Call+ and Message+ have reinstalled themselves again, without me being asked. And in addition, when I go to Settings > Apps > Running, they are both active, listed as "1 process and 3 services", using up both battery and storage.

Is it seriously the case that none of you geniuses with your hundreds of replies have no idea whatsoever how to fix this?
