I have just changed my phone to a Samsung J3 running Android 5.1.1. I got it sim free everything else is working OK. I went in to a Vodafone store and they said it was not Vodafone blocking it. I contacted who I purchased it from and they are blaming the network. I went onto the Vodafone website and input the settings. But then when I checked the list of APN's the MMS is listed but I cannot select it. Has any got any ideas what I could try.

So to send mms a person needs...
Their Vodafone Account provisioning to send mms. Customer service do this.
A good 3G Signal.
As mms isn’t part of a texting allowance then credit is needed for Payg.
The Apn settings I use are from https://www.teamknowhow.com/discover/discover/vodafone-apn-settings
I wonder if the phone you bought wasn’t originally sim free but instead locked to a network and then unlocked to all Networks. Did it have the Vodafone apn settings in originally and when you turn it On does the Samsung splash screen show or does another splash screen show instead ?
If this was my phone then if it still won’t accept the full Vodafone apn settings then I’d be looking at returning it for a refund or replacement.
To add try texting WEB to 40127
