Galaxy Note 7 Pre-Order issues

Hi all 

 

First post here! trying to find out more about my Note 7 Pre-order as ive not heard anything since the initial order.

 

Has anyone had confirmation they will be getting it on the 30/8?

 

Tried chat and 191 both saying different things as is in store. Also the tracking is not working yet because it is a pre-order.

 

I know there are some supply issues but I will need to amend delivery address if im not getting it on the tuesday and obviously dont have much time to change anything.

 

any help would be appricated.

In regards to Pre Ordering , phones on Back Order or on delay a person can cancel. The frontline agents can't do this so a person needs to ask to be put through to cancellations. 

 

In the case of the phone being In-Stock a person has approximately a golden hour to cancel. If they miss this window then it will have to be delivered, refused or sent back , the account reset to pre upgrade status and then the process started again.

This happens every time there is a new phone and happens on every network and not just Vodafone.  It also happens in other countries as various forums will show. It is for that very reason that I will not preorder a device directly with the network - I usually wait for the dust to settle and then order the phone. The alternative is to buy the phone directly from the manufacturer, ofthen their preorder process is a bit smoother.

Vodafones customer service is one of the most shocking I've ever dealt with yet for some reason I've ordered the Note 7 too. Although I know Mines not expected until Friday because I ordered it a day late despite the guy on the phone saying it was in Stock and would be posted the next day. I actually think they have messed this order and upgraded the wrong device but we'll see.

The problem is they are advertising on the main page still if you get a new line or new contract you can have one by the 2nd the shops however are obviously saying dsomethjng different.

It's a shame and doesn't need to be like this. I will more than likely stay with Vodafone unless something really bad happens.

Was debating if I should buy offline from carphone for friday :Winking_smiley:

I am recieving my phone today just had text and email confirmation fro DPD

 

dont listen to the chat or the phone people they dont seem to know.

 

I am hoping its not the blue one they kept saying I ordered when I didnt!

I will most certainly do so, I should have mine by 11ish by the looks of DPD.

Received my DPD message this morning too.  Should be arriving between 12:00 and 1:00.  Same thing happened last time.  Apart from initial Vodafone email when i ordered my phone there was no communication until DPD got in touch.

I pre-ordered my phone within 1-2 hours of availability (I tried first thing in the morning but it wasn't on their system then).

 

I have not received a text and have heard nothing from Vodafone, I called customer services and they can see the order on the system but they have no idea of when it will dispatch and said probably 2nd of September to arrive on Monday.

 

I pre-ordered with vodafone because I was told I'd get the device 3 days earlier, I'm going away this weekend on holiday, am beyond disappointed at this stage.

It's in my building just waiting for the courier desk to email me once they have processed it :Smiling: gettiing a bit impatient now.
