Hello my contract has been cancelled but I want to keep my number and change to pay as you go but I think I owe money

Wait...Have I got this right? You owe them money so they cut you off and cancelled the contract but you would like to use the number on Pay As You Talk? Is that right?
If this isn't a joke post, you need to pay your bill to reactivate the account. Pay the account off so there's no balance and then either port the number to another network or ask Vodafone to change the contract to Pay As You Talk because you can't manage bills on a contract.

It's not as easy as that. If the contract has been cancelled the number has been lost and returned to quarantine where it will wait for six months and then be allocated to someone else.
It is possible to recover a number from quarantine but it isn't an easy process and can't be relied upon. Customer servicdes would have to assist with that.
