How do I disable myweb.vodafone.co.uk as the fixed homepage on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3
The homepage is set as m.bbc.co.uk and this is showing in the settings. The phone has been switched off & on many times but still whenever I tap the internet icon I am taken to myweb.vodaphone.co.uk
Took it into the Vodafone shop in Holborn and they don't know the answer.
On a different but related matter I also seem to be stucj with a page full of Vodafone's choices of what I should have as bookmarks. I can't delete them and can't put my own choices above them.
Do Vodafone know what I want better than I do ?

I've never managed to use the homepage option in any mobile broswer very satisfactorily - they tend to go back in on the last page I visited.
One possibility would be to go into Settings|Apps from as homescreen and clear the data for the app - that might do it, though be aware it'll clear anything else you've set as well. As regards the listed bookmarks, you may be wtuck with them, but it's also possible they'll fall off if you add others.
If all else fails, you could simply install and use another browser. The Samsung Internet one is very similar to Chrome, but I personally like Firefox. I also have Opera Mini (not Mobile) which uses compression and can be handy for slow conenctions, though it doesn't handle all websites correctly.

Hi there
In your browser, press the menu key and scroll to settings.
On the next page, select Set Homepage.
Then select other and type in the URL of the website you want.
Once finished, click save
This is how it works on the S4, you made need to tweak it slight for the Note.

I think the OP said that their preferred homepage was already set but apparently being over-ridden. I'm sure I;ve deleted a load of pre-installed bookmarks on a Samsung browser, but it;s so long ago I've forgotten what I did - just deleted them, I'd have thought.
I've never come across a mobile browser that has a properly-functioning "home" button, other than Opera Mini's Start page, which it doesn't treat the same as bookmarks.

Not certain but unless you disable 'data roaming' when you connect to the internet Vodafone is always the default homepage and will override anything else, disable data roaming and see if that gets rid.

I have answered part of my own question. After several days of getting the myweb.vodafone page despite my homepage being m.bbc.co.uk, the phone has now started taking some notice of the settings and is giving me the BBC as my homepage.
Still have an issue with the pre-installed bookmarks though.
