Looking through my Usage Since Last Bill, I see lots of entries for internet usage at times when I could not possibly have used the phone (eg while driving) and also at times when I was covered by my home wifi. The amounts involved are tiny - mostly around 0.09 MB, but one goes as high as 15.74 MB. My monthly data allowance is 2 gb, so these tiny amounts won't make much difference, but it's slightly worrying that there are these unauthorised deductions from my allowance.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any explanations?

Hi
A smartphone updates apps etc in the background and some can collect information on weather too.
Some phones allow specific apps to be fine tweaked not to allow updating in the background and or not in Network Data.
Also when on Wifi at home if the signal dips then the phone could silently search for the next strongest signal which would be Network Data. The way to stop this is to disable Mobile Data in the phones settings. Obviously remember to re enable when out of wifi range.
