K3565 - Cant Receive Sms Registration Code In Time?

I recently got a K3565 Pay as you go dongol,

when trying to register, the registration code only lasts 20 minutes

and it takes me over 20 minutes to recieve the sms with the code..

so i'm unable to register....

should i try tomorrow?

We will need a little more information before we can look into this for you, is this problem happening when your trying to register to the online services i.e. My Account?

Are you getting any kind of error message if so what?

If you could try and give us the information we can take a further look :D

Easy - Put the sim in a vodafone compatible phone - then request the code - should get the text like any other - the broadbands seem a bit slow recieving texts.. :lol:

I had same problem, kept checking and by time I had a good enough connection to see the sms and
try it the code had expired. One one occasion there was no code received so I requested another, guess
what the code received was invalid, except I'll guess it it was from previous request, and I kept going
at this loop several times until last try saw two sms in inbox and realised I'd been made by vodafone
to try a fruitless excercise over and over.

Yes it's with the My Account section, i get no error messages, it just takes a very long time to recieve the sms with the registration code :)

Thanks for getting back in touch! Hmmm texts should come through just as fast as on a phone if you're in an area with sufficient coverage. You could try 'The Master's suggestion of popping the SIM into a phone but removing the dongle and replacing it a couple of minutes after you've sent the text should have the same effect as it will look for any updates on the network including text communications.

It may be worthwhile avoiding this between 5pm and 7pm at night just in case it's a little busier traffic wise in your area for people finishing work ;)
