1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service?

No.

2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? If you don't want this showing on the Community, add it to your profile here.

Added to profile.

3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?

Yes.

4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?

Signal is much weaker, now I often drop to 3G so speeds are much slower, and even if I have 4G it's slower as it's weaker. I had 4G all the time before. The local mast is still up but seems to be giving a much weaker signal than it did before, EE/3 are also on the mast and are performing as they were before. The mast is at LE7 7NL, just over half a mile away.

5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all?

I've noticed it on 4G, but when I drop to 3G that seems weaker too, so possibly all of them.

6) When did you first notice this issue?

Recently, probably about a week ago maybe a bit more, I thought it was just a temporary problem.

7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs?

Permanent.

Hi

Looking at that postcode in Vodafone Network Checker Link there is no issues reported.

Can you try your Sim Card in another phone as a process of elimination to rule out the phone or sim card that may be at fault. Try another Sim in your phone. If necessary any Vodafone Shop can replace the Sim Card via a Sim Swap.

Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512gb Phantom Black.

Thanks, it's the same on all phones. I've investigated it more and it appears that the mast has been changed in some way, maybe the panels have been tilted a different way or something, such that upstairs near the window, my signal has increased, but in all other areas of the house, it's become worse. In the room I'm in most it's gone from -100dBm to -108dBm, which in terms of dBm is an over 6x weaker signal, and now when I put my phone in my pocket, or if I'm using my phone on my lap, I'll drop to 3G every time, so my signal has significantly reduced where before I would get 4G everywhere, but now I'm spending most of my time on 3G or sometimes worse.

@hammy434 I've looked into your local serving site (10406) and it's performing correctly.

It's also had no site visits within the last 90 days from our Network Engineers, meaning nothing has been changed on the site recently.

Your issue may be related to an environmental factor, as I can see from looking into the area between your location and your mast that there are many areas covered by trees - this can cause problems with something referred to as "line of sight". Some of our sites are connected to the rest of our network via a microwave link rather than cables and if a tree grows in the way of the link, it's possible that the link can stop working.

As we're unable to see any issues relating to your serving site, I've sent you a private message with details on how to get in touch.

Please complete and follow the steps, providing all of the information asked for. This will then allow us to raise a case with our Network Engineers. :smileyhappy:
