Hey @Dunedin23
Don't be put by what you've seen here on our community page. We try to be as transparent as we can with our customers.
Is there anything we can help you with? 😊

Dan thanks for that it’s just that I sort of feel responsible for these two retired friends who are thinking of joining VF as their bt contract is nearly up. I also know they watch either Netflix or the other one. So looking at lots of comments on here about not being able to watch Netflix etc during peak times due to drop outs worry me as I recommended VF. But we are in a small village and yes my download speed does drop considerably after 5:00 pm but I’m not sure if this will affect them or not as I’m not that tech savvy.

@Dunedin23 The Vodafone Community is here for people to get answers to queries or problems that they're having, the nature of social media like this mostly consists of issues and very rarely reflects the many happy customers also using our services.
I'm glad to hear that you've not had any problems with your service thus far. If yourself or any other people you've advised to join Vodafone have any queries, we'll do everything we can to help get them resolved.

Where I am I can watch 4K Netflix programmes in the evening and they display perfectly. I am 450M from the cabinet and have the 38mbps product.
However it is quite clear to me that others are not so fortunate and some back haul links are clearly congested. If that happens all you can do is terminate the contract, which you may be able to do in the first month without to much penalty. You need to check the exact t&Cs. For FTTC, if your retired friend are connected to the same cabinet as yourself they may have the same experience as yourself as far as congestion is concerned.

Thanks guys well I had my daughter who is more tech savvy than me and she looked at the speeds yesterday after 5:00 pm ish and she said although the download speed had dropped from the 60’s to around 20 / 25 she thought this would be fine for Netflix. Also as we are in a fairly small village and really holliday home land so she didn’t think it would ever drop to the lows I’ve seen mentioned here. So I’m happy with my deal anytime calls including mobiles fairly good fibre, and to say something positive about VF l had a query on my bill ( VF charge ahead one month unknown to me) and the lady I spoke to explained everything well even sent two emails explaining. Like I said previously I had a nightmare year in 2016 with BT.
