Hi guys so I've been with Vodafone for 24 months, great. Just upgraded my phone, great.
Sold my old iphone, great.
Tried to have the iphone unlocked, not great.
NUC rejected on grounds;
"To unlock your phone from our network you need to have been with us for at least 30 days. That means your SIM must have been used in your phone 30 days ago or longer. We insist on this as a prevention against fraud."
I called 191 and they were unable to help and suggest I ask here!
Now half way through my contract I had my iphone replaced by apple due to a faulty battery so I'm wondering if the new IMEI doesnt match Vodafones records? Is this causing the problem? I just put my old SIM straight into the new phone and thought nothing of it.
If so how do I fix it? As customer services said there was no-one they could put me in touch with and that only a "Super-user" would be able to help.
I assumed the phone would be unlocked as it was a replacement directly from Apple but others have told me that Vodafone SIMS lock the phone anyway... It's locked and the NUC computer says no.. and customer services can't help me..
Can anyone help me??

I have found the email from the apple store confirming my device was replaced during it's warranty.. But who do i send this to so that the NUC can be processed? Customer services say there is no NUC department so I don't know how this would be processed?

Hi,
Apple would have supplied an iPhone that locks out to your original network.
They only supply unlocked iPhones to people who have paid the full retail price so are fully unlocked to all networks.
Live Chat can provide the direct email address for Nuc Resolutions. I'm not sure why you've been told on that occasion that the department does not exist. As far as I'm aware a person can not speak by phone to them.
In in regards to dealing with providing information on a replaced by the manufacturer phone.
"What if I have my iPhone exchanged?
If the handset has been exchanged by Vodafone UK then we can still request that your phone is unlocked with Apple.
If the handset is exchanged via Apple or another third party (e.g. insurance claim) you’ll need to contact the company that provided your replacement for either an unlocking code, or you can ask the third party to notify us of the new IMEI details.
We’re only able to request handset unlocks for phones that have been sold by Vodafone UK or if we've received the new IMEI details from the third party."
Other options would be to place a Vodafone Payg SIM card in and use it for 30 days making calls and sending texts , using data to latch its imei number to the Payg account and try requesting the unlock again.
