Request for re-sync of Sure Signal

MarcLister
4: Newbie

I would like to request a re-sync of my Sure Signal device. I haven't used it for over 3 months so I think it needs a re-sync from Vodafone's end to get it work.

The serial number of my device is: 21229079526.

Thanks.

Hi MarcLister,

Could you try to deregister via My Account and then set the device up from scratch for me? I'm trying to figure out what would cause this issue since you did the swap. Let me know when you've done this so I can look at it this end again from fresh.

Cheers, Ben

Hi MarcLister,

That's been resynched for you now.

Let us know if that doesn't sort it.

Dave

Hello Dave,

Thanks for that. After a few days and several fruitless resets, it is now working again. I can never remember what I do differently, if indeed I do anything differently, on the reset that works!

Marc

Hi MarcLister,

Glad to hear that's working!

If you do notice anything different in future, please let us know. It may be useful information for others. :smileyhappy:

Dave

Hello again. I changed my broadband router to something a bit more upmarket. This meant I have had to re-connect the Sure Signal device and this means I've lost reception at home, again. I have done numerous resets, tried several ethernet cables to no avail.

Could I please ask for another re-sync from your end? Thanks. :Smiling:

Hi MarcLister,

I've done a resync for you, please do a reset to complete the process;

1 - Hold the reset button until all 4 lights are solid. Don't let go of the button until step 4

2 - Remove the power cable then the LAN cable

3 - Insert ONLY the power cable

4 - When the lights flash 1, 2, 3 then 4 release the reset button and wait for the unit to boot (5 minutes should do it).

5 - Insert the LAN cable and wait

Thanks,

Kay

Hi Kay,

That worked perfectly and in minutes too. I'm used to being told to wait an hour or so.

Thanks. :Smiling:

Hi,

I noticed recently my Sure Signal had stopped working and just the power light was on, I tried a factory re-set which it appeared to do - but just returned to having the power light only on. Is it in need of a re-sync?

This last time this happened I had changed phones, but I haven't changed anything this time...?

Ser no. 21196752683

Thanks !

Hi Andy,

That all looks OK, so I've given it a resync. Reset the Sure Signal for me to pick that up.

For Sure Signal version 1 or 2:

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
  • Once all lights display release the reset button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

For Sure Signal version 3:

  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.
