Roaming

Hi all,

I'm a little confused - travelling to Italy in a couple of weeks and as a PAYG customer, I'm not sure whether I qualify with the recent changes and so can use my allowance at no extra cost, or whether I have to go for the £5 charge each day I dip into some data usage?

I'm about 15 months into an 18 month contract.

Thanks in advance!

You're defnitely included in the new roaming rates although your original post mentions you're a prepaid customer then you mention you're in a contract?.

Either way, you'll pay what you would at home and if you have an allowance, you can use it in Italy with no extra cost.

Sorry!

Senior moment there - I'm on a monthly contract not PAYG

So to confirm I'm all good to go to expect no further charges if I use my 6GB data allowance over there?

Hey again,

No worries - I have those as well!!

So you're pay monthly so you're definitely good to go. You'll get off the plane, pick up Vodafone IT and be able to use your service exactly as if you were here in the UK including your 6GB of data.

Also your calls and text allowance not only works for calls/texts to UK numbers (+44) but to any destintion in the roam free (so Europe really) so if you need to call Italian numbers whilst you're there (beginning +39) then they'll come out of your allowances as well.

Have a great time!

Just check on My Vodafone that roaming is active. It should be but wise to check.
