Please someone save me from this S7 edge :0( It's so complicated in comparison to the S4!
There are so many things I can't work out how to do, can't rven change the wallpaper as it keeps demanding I allow it access to my calls etc??
But the Bluetooth is really finishing me off it pairs fine and I can even send a file fine but I can't receive one.
Have tried unpairing and repairing, changing settings, disabling APS I even got so frustrated I returned the phone back to its original factory settings in case I'd accidentally disabled something at setup!! Unfortunately no joy and more annoyingly it seems to have knocked out the settings I imposed to stop the clock permanently being on etc :0(
What on earth is wrong with it :0(
Any advise greatfully eceived.
Thanks

In regards to the Bluetooth you could try clearing it's cache and data under apps settings.
As it's Bluetooth files being sent to you it could be an issue from the device that's sending the file.
I assume under Settings > Connections > Phone Visibility is turned On.
If that fails then i'd suggest visiting a Samsung service location or Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre location for a diagnostic.
In regards to the wallpaper are you using a stock built-in or one you've downloaded from Google or have you used some type of wallpaper app ?
The wallpapers / images downloaded from Google won't ask for any access to your calls.
I also use the Zedge App which is a good source of wallpapers and tones.
Regarding the clock always being on I'm assuming this is the Always On Display ?
To disable that feature go to Settings >Lock Screen and Security > Always On Display > Toggle it Off.
Current Phone >
Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512gb.

Hi Bandofbrothers
Thanks for your reply, sorry for the delay I couldn't bring myself to touch for phone for a full day it is stressing me out that much!
Am still using the ultra 6 whilst trying to set the S7 up.
I gather not having a sim in it would make no difference to the Bluetooth?
Yes all the viability settings are on the Ultra 6 can send to other devises so its not that the S7 couldn't receive from an apple phone either :0(
The S7 edge can pair fine can even send files fine but can't receive.
I managed to clear storage cache and Bluetooth cache, restarted the phone but still can't receive files.
Am so frustrated with this phone right now I nearly returned it shortly after buying it but my husband convinced me into keeping it! Big Mistake it's just so complicated in comparison to the S4. I have no Samsung service centre nearby :0(

Hi fairywishes1 the Samsung theme application does ask for permissions but you can deny one of the call one and allow the one that lets you set a new wallpaper or theme
If you just deny the call one and let the others it should let you change

Hi Druidedude
Thanks for your reply I just tried to do that but this time It didn't even ask me to allow or deny the acces to the calls it just asked me to allow access to my images gallery etc.
Which is slightly worrying me now in case its now got access to my calls.

Hi I think it needs access to that so it can store any themes or wallpapers in your device
I have given it permission the storage at denied calls permission and haven't come across any issues
But I totally understand that it does get worrying that we are sometimes bombarded with these permissions

OK so after a rather scary moment where I was mistakenly trying to do a factory settings reset and instead held both volume keys and home and power key and got an OS aqua screen which downloaded goodness knows what (oops no idea what I did)
I managed to wipe partition cache and then do a factory reset so am hoping I've not done any damage with the previous thing..
So I denied everything bar access to my gallery so that should be sorted.
Bluetooth wise I can now receive a file from my daughters Moto3g phone on the S7e but still can't from the Smart Ultra 6 nor can the smart switch transfer or the wireless transfer so it must be a prob with the Smart Ultra 6. I need to go research that now in the hope I can solve it.
Thanks Bandofbrothers and Druiddoode would be stuck without you both.
