My wife has just come home from a carboot sale with a Suresignal V3. I have tried to set it up for use with my account, but it says it is already registered, which it obviously is.
How can I de-register the suresignal? There is virtually no chance of getting in contact with the seller.
Thanks

Hi Jasey,
Since de-registering the device needs access to the users account, only the user whom registered it will be able to de-register it.
If it's at all possible to contact the original owner I would suggest doing this. If this isnt possible i'm not sure there would be another way to get the device de-registered.
One of the eForum team would be able to advise further on this.

Is there any way in which Vodafone support can actually support one of their customers? Would it not be possible for support to contact the old user and request their authorisation to deregister it?
The only reason I am with vodafone was because of these femtocells. I live in a very weak signal area... actually, probably pointless whinging on here - usually the answer is "tough" - like most other support places.

Vodafone would be in severe breech of data protection laws if they accessed the previous owners account without permission and made contact.
The only way you are going to get the device deregistered is for you to contact the person who had the device registered to their account and ask that person to please deregister the device or contact Vodafone with the serial number and ask for the device to be deregistered.
If you cannot contact the previous owner, you have got yourself a good door stop.
