Still no 5.1.1 on note 4

Hello,

Just wondering why I have not received the 5.1.1 android update on my note 4 yet?

My handset is still on 5.0.1 which doesn’t work with BBC Iplayer on the note 4.

Is anybody else still on 5.0.1?

If your phone is branded ie has Vodafone splash screens and been purchased from Vodafone they do not comment on firmware updates and releases. It's a case of checking the software section in your phone.

I goy my brand new (unbranded) N4 from a Vodafone store three weeks ago and the upgrade to 5.1.1 was available when I checked whether there was one waiting.

My N4 is unbranded.

Have you got yours set to automatically check for updates or do you need to check manually?

My Note 4 is unbranded had it since april, updates are on automatic it says the latest updated have been installed and says the same thing in kies 3.

Just seems like i'm the only one who hasn’t had the update.

Where did you get the Note 4 from?

I'm cannot for defiant say why you haven't had the update yet.

They are typically released in waves.

You could speak to the manufacturer via their Uk Support page.

Find the firmware code and then check the code on sammobile.com

You may well find that this phone was made for a different country that hasn't yet had the update pushed out. Dealers like Mobile Phones Direct have been known to buy on the grey market and phones that were destined for other countries end up here.

Its csc code is LUX for Luxembourg, so I guess I have to wait till it gets pushed out over there.

A typical dealer trick. One of the many reasons why I personally wouldn't deal with one.
