I now cannot do anything with it at all, no lights and it's too hot touch so I have unplugged it. Please help Vodafone as I now have no signal at all

Have a search on the forum. Its becoming quite common for them to fail in this way and some have been quite spectacular failure. Be thankful your didn't go bang like some have. Personally mine has been deregistered and consigned to the bin even though it was still working.
