Hi Everyone,
Im trying to sort my MDs VSS v1 out without success. It was working fine until about 2 weeks ago. I have tried resetting it, unplugging it etc. and now it could be mistaken for a disco ball! The lights flash randomly in no particular pattern and needless to say, I cant get a signal!
I have pre-empted the information required so duly enclose it below:

Is an over the air re-sync or firmware update possible?
Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Hi
I'm sure the Tech Teams here will look at your traceroute and hopefully have an answer.
In the interim may I suggest.
It may also be worth trying a different power supply with the SureSignal (Version 1 & 2 ), as there have been some reports of replacement power supplies solving the issues. Even if lights / power are showing. They are available on eBay for around £10. From member cineriv "But firstly, have a look around for a suitable unit with a 12 Volt output @ around 1.5Amp capacity that you could 'borrow' to prove the fault. Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, printers, routers etc.etc."

I can see that your Sure Signal has connected with our servers today. Are you still having issues with this?
As @BandOfBrothers mentioned, it may be worth trying another power cable as sometimes this is the issue.

Similar problems struck out of the blue.
Solved thanks to this forum by replacing the power supply to the SureSignal with a BT power brick from an old BT Hub 5. I expect any of the other hubs PSU will also work. It's possible that people will have one sitting around somewhere.
