Oh lovely... I had read that VAT was being added to non EU roaming but that it was being absorbed into the price so really can't wait to get that text

Alas! The explanation is here, from which I was delighted to discover that the measure isn’t expected to impact on family formation, stability or breakdown. Nor is it anticipated that this will impact specifically on any equalities groups. Ah well.

When there was a £3 charge for Euro Roaming, VAT was absorbed for Travel to Switzerland.

Personally Roam Further needs to be an option. £5 per day was always on the higher side, but affordable. £6 for me tips the scale towards unaffordable. Several Trips a year and have used it once or twice per trip. With the £6 now will not be using it.

I for one would use it a lot more if it was around £3 per day. My trips are usually 5-6 days which would be £15-£18. While now it is £5-£10. Does someone in Vodafone realise that they would earn more then they currently do?

Going to order a Samsung Dual SIM phone now.

Just had one of those myself. I rarely use text or data either at home or abroad so even the £5 charge to send one measely text has had me looking elsewhere. To raise it to £6 is really taking the ##~## though.

Good job that there are more wifi options available as an alternative but it just means I'll be using Vodafone even less. Or possibly not at all when the current contract expires.
