Veteran reporting for duty. I served bravely in the Wars of the Vodafone iPhone Preorders, and my service medal has three bars (4S, 5S, 6Plus).
To those who have seen the chaos of war that annually floods this forum, what do you expect this year? Tears, rage, very angry emoticons? Or is there a change in the winds? I heard the pre-order website didnt instantly crash at 8am this morning, which is as promising as it is unheard of!
What did you go for? I'm assuming very few of you went for the 16GB model, I imagine you would only get about a minutes worth of 4K video on that!
Anyway, to all newbies and grizzled veterans, welcome to the annual Vodafone iPhone preorder hunger games thunder dome. of death.

Hi,
I've come across a few discussions too. All interesting stuff 😎
The one you kindly highlight says "seemingly confirms"
Although I have no doubt they will have 2Gb Ram - but until they have been shipped ,and a proper tear-down performed and Geek Bench test is run nothing yet is confirmed.

Standard old Demand v Supply situation. I doubt the demand for the 6s will be as crazy as the 6.
(we live in hope anyway).
Don't mess with stupid people. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Can anyone remember back last year with the iPhone 6, when the order tracker changes from stage 2 to 3? basically when Vodafone start picking the phones and sending them to DPD?
I'm sure both mine were on the Thursday night with a Friday launch delivery, but I cant find any confirmation.. Just seems late with all the other networks giving their customers 'picking' confirmation.

Yep I seem to rememeber you where spot on with that. Thursday early hours and Friday morning.

Just for comparison, my orders direct with Apple are still showing 'preparing for despatch' with a Friday delivery date. They've been like that for some time now.

Same here which is in line with a UK shipped device. Some in the US seem to be being fulfilled from China and are seeing tracking details.

my tracking on the vodafone site says '25th September to the 2nd October'.
Never had that last year but im hoping its a good sign. I ordered an upgrade at 08:50 for the 6s Plus 64GB Space Grey..

After doing the 4s, 5, 5s and 6 launch with Vodafone and them messing up every single pre order differently each time I feel quitely confident that this time I will get my 6s+ on time without issues.
There certainly isn't as big of a want for this phone as previous years.
I'm also not going to be checking the tracker every other hour like I was doing with the 6 launch as the 6 is probably the best iPhone for me since the 3GS.
It does appear from what I read that some prefer to not go for the 's' release of iPhone model.
