Vodafone 50gb Data sim and Combo Pass

Ok spent over an hour on chat speaking to someone about using a data only SIM in a Draytek 2862 ln router which support 4g/LTE SIM plugged directly into it for shared connectivity.

I wanted to know if we could share the 50gb data allowance and also if the combo pass would still be unlimited if 1 of the 4 household guests could use chat,  social,  video and music apps simultaneously.

I personally dont see what the difference in tethering and using a router is,  the traffic is the same and come from the same IP.

I got really frustrated in the end and closed chat because the support representative was trying to assure me that the SIM could not be used in a router...  Utter rubbish since I have used both EE AND O2 SIMS in the exact same router.

Can anyone else shed any light on this setup with the Vodafone Combo Pass...  It needs to support all users behind the router rather than just one to be of any significant value to us.

Thankyou

@Damosnelly Thanks for raising this to us, it's a really great point. I've passed your question about using the Vodafone Pass simultaneously, onto our Passes team and I'll get back to you as soon as I know more.

There's been other users on the Community that have used their Data-only SIM in various other routers. I can't comment on the exact make and model you've described, but you can use the SIM in various modems, dongles and mobile devices.

Im sorry to say but this is conflicting information becase the chap I spoke to said the combo pass ervices cannot be shared from a router or mobile device with multiple devices.

Its very frustrating they can' just be absolutely clear on usage limitations and also be consistent in advising prospective client.

@Damosnelly Ive checked with the team and they've advised, that the Passes can be used simultaneously by various different devices. This can be done connected to a router, or tethered from your mobile 👍

Sorry for any confusion that's been caused. Don't hesitate to get back to us if there's anything else you're unsure of, or if you have any further questions in the future.
