Vodafone connect router DHCP settings

I have posted this into off topic as I can not see any reference to Vodafone Home phone and Broadband.

I have install the router and all is working but there one thing that is missing from the setting of the VDSL router that being a function to turn off DHCP, I have for the pasted 10 year had my own network running at home with a fully working server that is my DHCP & DNS server but for the first time in history I have just sign up for 18 month and got a bloody router that has no function in the GUI settings pages to turn OFF the DHCP server. So for now I will have to wait for 18 months before I can change ISP. thanks vodafone tech team for missing this one. If there is anyone out there that can offer me a firmware update to give me the function to turn OFF DHCP then please post it.

None would make a difference noticable.
Its all to do with LAN performance and built in features. Youre talking a mb or 10 difference between all high-end models.

I'd focus on usability, look, power and most importantly user reviews.

Only you should make the choice based on your findings. Its one of the most fun parts of setting up a router!!

Do you think i would get better speed than with the Vodafone router

Honestly? No.
The reason people are swapping out their Vodafone router are:

Connection reliability
LAN Features (servers, streaming, WiFi)

If none of these are bothering you, keep your login details but dont waste your money buying a different router.

The Vodafone routers Hardware is awesome. It's the Software that lets it down. I'm still waiting for Vodafone to release a stable firmware where your LAN doesn't break if your Internet goes down and networked computers can communicate locally reliably. Once that happens, it'll be awesome.

What kind of house is it and what performance are you currently getting?

I am finding the WiFi struggles to get to rooms that are the opposite side of house. It's a 3 bedroom bungalow

Bungalows are always the worst. WiFi signals disperse evenly. Could you place the router in the middle room?

...or is this the bathroom??

Have you considered connecting 2x routers together for budget connections? Just disable DHCP on one and set a different static IP for the second router.

Alternatively you could look at commercial WiFi hotspots from Cisco.

Going to connect one Pc with wired connection is the Vodafone one not reliable then
