I have posted this into off topic as I can not see any reference to Vodafone Home phone and Broadband.
I have install the router and all is working but there one thing that is missing from the setting of the VDSL router that being a function to turn off DHCP, I have for the pasted 10 year had my own network running at home with a fully working server that is my DHCP & DNS server but for the first time in history I have just sign up for 18 month and got a bloody router that has no function in the GUI settings pages to turn OFF the DHCP server. So for now I will have to wait for 18 months before I can change ISP. thanks vodafone tech team for missing this one. If there is anyone out there that can offer me a firmware update to give me the function to turn OFF DHCP then please post it.

I run a small business from home and not being able to use my own equipment means I've had to outsource some of my hosting.
Also means I've got about £300 router just collecting dust.

As no one from VF has commented, i will assume, that despite being told by vodafone staff they will provide the information needed to use my own equipment this is not the case.
Fortunately EE do so i will be signing up with them instead.
Good luck to those of you battling to get your username and password so you can use your own equipment.
Cheers

My previous advice is only really relevant for existing Vodafone customers.
My solution was the best of a bad bunch - in other words, I had to rely on the configuration of third party hardware to do the heavy lifting as I was unable to get the PPoE credentials; meaning I am effectively jailed to using the VF router for 'modem functionality' until my contract is up for renewal (mid 2018-ish).
For now, I have accepted what I have got. It works, I know how it works and I know what I feel towards Vodafone for forcing me to compromise.
Vodafone don't give a $hit about this issue; so I suggest everyone turns their back on them when they can. Vote with your feet people.

My mobile contract is up for renewal. Will not be renewing.
Sadly using the vf router in a pseudo-modem only kind of way isn't ideal. You get double NAT problems etc.

I'm seeing some pretty weird things going on with my router.
We have not given the wireless password out to anyone. We only have two phones and two tablets connected via wireless (all Samsung).
Everytime I look at my Network I'm seeing other devices with no IPs.
Smart_ultra7
Hudle 2
Panasonic TV
Nothing listed under the connected clients in the router config pages or under DHCP etc...
Any ideas?

Hi Everyone,
I'm very sorry for the inconvenience you're facing. Unfortunately we don't have access to Broadband accounts on the forum.
Please contact our Broadband Live Chat team, for further help.

@Colleen
any comment on using your own equipment ?

How about the fact that you say using our own modem is not supported, yet your sales staff are saying the exact opposite? Would this not be mis-selling of a service?
Any comment on that? It's got nothing to do with our broadband accounts.

@Colleen
Any comment on Vodafone sales staff telling blatant lies?

I'm not sure if this will be your answer, but could be fairly easy to test.
I wonder if the ghost devices are items that have tried to log in or have scanned your wifi, but not knowing the pass code, have not connected.
Do you have another device (or remove one of your current ones) and ask it to connect, but not enter the code... Does that then appear in your unknown device list without an IP too?
