htc one mini 2 in call mic problems

Having problems with in call Mic problems, when I get a call the other person can't hear me but when I put it on speaker it's clear?

Has anyone experienced this or know how to resolve this issue?

Hi Richard,

Sorry for hijacking an old thread but I have the same problem with my htc mini2. I'm 12 months into my 24 month contract and the mic stopped working about a week ago.

However the problem I have is that I cracked the screen within the first week of recieving my handset, the last time I tried to have my old htc fixed for over heating I was told I would have to pay the full cost as there was a small chip in the corner of the screen and that invalidated the manufactuer warranty.

Therefore if I send my mini 2  back for a repair will I be given the same response because of the crack in the screen. As this seems to be a known issue it's obviously not related to the cracked screen.

The warranty would now be void due to the crack in the screen.

We’re unable to advise on the cost as this can vary.

You’d need to see our repair service, for further help and information with this.

Not entirely happy that a "known issue" cannot be fixed because of unrelated damage but it's what I have come to expect from warranties. I think in the past when I have spoke to the repair team it has worked out cheaper to cancel my contract early and take out a nwe contract with a new handset so guessing I'll go down that route again.
