number has come over to vodafne today from virgin mobile, i can make calls out fine but cant send or receive text messages and cant receive any incoming calls.
i need to be contactable at all times due to an illness my husband suffers so need some urgent help please.

As porting does not happen or complete over a weekend my advice would be to give it until Tuesday. Reboot your phone by turning it Off and On.
If after Tuesday this hasn’t resolved then speak with Customer Service and ask if you have a Split Port - which is where not all the porting in files haven’t properly settled.
