Christ, why is this so difficult! I've had the phone 2 years on contract with you! I just want my NUC please, now I've ended my contect with you. (and not soon enough, awful serrvice). You're telling me I have to use a PAYG sim for 30 days before you'll even consider unlocking it! What sort of BS is that....to prevent fraud! I'm not a fraudster, you check the IMEI of the phone and you can see it's been mine for 2 years, on your network. It anyone is pulling a scam it's Vodafone. Just give me an NUC code, then I can see the back of vodafone for ever.

Hi @Wyn-ford
Has there been any length of time that the iPhone's not been used on Vodafone UK?
If there has then it's viable that the iPhone's imei has dropped off Vodafones systems.
The suggestion to use a Vodafone payg sim card for 30 days making calls etc is a generic avenue to latch the iPhone's imei number onto their systems again.
If you've always used the iPhone on Vodafone with no break then ask customerservice to escalate this to their Nuc department or ask for the direct Nuc email address. You can't ring them.as they are not Customer facing.
Tip >
The iPhone is not unlocked via inputting an unlock code like other phone makes are, but instead is unlocked remotely via Apple and their Database.
The Vodafone Network typically lets a person know it's unlocking has been requested to Apple after accepting your online unlock request. (Please Check Spam Inboxes too)
Apple then process the Networks request and occasionally this can take approximately up to 30 days sometimes to complete an unlock request made by a Network.
Please Periodically insert an active Alternative Networks Sim Card in the iPhone and hook up to iTunes. When it's unlocked you should see a pop up message and the alternatives Networks name will show in the iPhone's status bar.
From the iPhone 5 onwards there's not normally the need to hook up to iTunes to complete the process.

@Wyn-ford Have you followed our NUC (Network Unlock Code) form?
If you've already completed this, please check your private message inbox for details on how to get in touch - we'll then be able to take a look in more depth.

Form doesn't apply to PAYG, check the last question, it doesn't apply to me, as i no longer have a contract.
You have to check every box to be able to move to next form. Useless to me.
Advised to use email address nucresolutions 'at' help.vodafone.com. Sent the details through to them, 2 days later still waiting for a reply. Called vodafone many times. the help team do not seem to be clear on how to go about unlocking an iphone 6.
Next suggestion? Running out of options here
