Free Gift claim date

I'm a bit confused about the date I'll be able to claim the free gift with my new broadband order. The T+Cs state:

"After completion of the 30 day cooling off period and 14 day installation period (44 days in total) you will be eligible to register for your gift. You must visit the promotional website at www.vodafone.co.uk/broadbandgift within 14 days of becoming eligible"

Anyone know when the 30 day cooling off starts? Also, what is a 14 day installation period? My new line should be installed on 12th September which is over 14 days away.

My thoughts are the cooling off period would start from the activation date. 

The broadband team will be able to officially clarify on 

08080 034 511 for broadband (free from all UK landlines and mobiles) with lines open between 8am and 8pm, seven days a week.
