You should get a letter after being connected for a couple of weeks or so (got mine after 3), that will tell you that you will receive another letter when you are eligible to claim and what you can claim.

I received an initial letter saying that I'll receive further notification when it's time to claim my free tech gift .My broadband went live 28th August 2018 and I'm yet to receive anything to tell me how to claim (I've checked my email for correspondance from Vodafone and from TLC marketing including spam).
Hi, I will not received any correspondance from TLC, or details of how to claim, that's the reason for my post.
I received a letter from Vodafone to say that I'll receive further details on how to claim "soon" that was over a month ago. From reading the Terms & conditions of the offer I noticed that the info may come from TLC and also that claiming the gift is time sensitive so I don't want to miss any timescales if it's the case that Vodafone or TLCs records show that I've received notification.
So I've got the letter - all good. No email with the code has come through? Checked my usual junk folder and nothing is appearing after 3+ days…
Doesn't seem to work going through the registering process again (understandable), but i'd obviously like my code to claim!
I haven't received a letter or email either. I received the first saying that Vodafone would be in touch once the broadband was activated but that was the last.
What can I do now?
Hi, Here is the legal situation with the free gift. I know this because I am suing Vodafone:
First: The free gift is not a free gift. You are required to perform a certain action to get it ( ie apply after a certain duration of membership). This constitutes 'consideration'. It is actually a contract.
Second: The terms allowing you to claim the gift were not given at the time you signed up to Vodafone. Yes they said you could not apply for a few weeks after membership began but they did not mention the application 'window' or other important details. terms given AFTER a contract is agreed are not enforceable.
Third: Even if the terms for claiming the gift were valid, they are unfair. They certainly fall foul of the Unfair Terms Act 1977 due to being unnecessary, overly restrictive and basically only in favour of the retailer. Two weeks to be claimed and notice of only 2 weeks., Come on. Vodafone have managed this to deliberately exclude may people who are entitled to a gift.
My mother in law signed up and the letter arrived (post contract) when she was having a quad bypass and then an amputation, she is 84 years old, confused and very ill. Vodafone, the multi billiojn pound company decided thewy would not widen the window foir application and refuse to give her the gift. Even in these circumstances.
I have personally written to the CEI Nick Jefferies and he and his team have refused to budge.
I think that is not the right decision so we are suing them.
I can give free advice as to how and why to do this to anyone needing it.
Vodafone will of course remove this fair and accurate post from their site and I shall show that to the court. They can not remove it from all review sites though.
Shame on you Vodafone.
I had a similar experience. I was not in the country when this letter arrivied and when i got to read it, it was already out of the 14 day period. When i called them up they refused to provide an alternative solution.
Firstly such terms were never mentioned when this offer was marketed.
Now I feel like I have been conned into take their Broadband with no benefit.

Another similar story here. I have been chasing this gift up for a few weeks, as I had not received anything from Vodafone regarding it. Only to be told that they cant do anything because their Database says they sent the letter!
It seems its my fault for not contacting them, in the 2 microseconds that they seemed to give us after the contract started, regarding something I didnt know I was supposed to receive. And now I seem to have no recourse as their "Database of Justice" has decreed that this letter was posted (and we all know Royal Mail is 100% successful).
I wonder how many others have had a similar experience
I am trying to cancel vodaphone broadband as am in same situation as you 7 calls to them, over 2 hrs, 3 promises of calls back, broken. Given the runaround spoken to TLC twice with no luck. Told info was in an email, it isnt. Then told it came as a letter, it didnt. Then told it was in my terms and conditions, it wasnt.

Likewise, time constraints and being out of the country prevented me.
Their web site was blocked in Russia & Japan when I tried, missed the deadline by a day, but already had done the initial register and had a code, which then failed when I returned to the UK.
No response since 12th Nov, their global complaints portal will not let you submit unless you have a vodafone mobile number and there are no other alternatives. (just have broadband & home phone)
So like others I have cc'd in their CEO Nick Jeffery, forwhat that is worth.
