Port Forwarding - Server

Hi there,

I've been wanting to setup a TeamSpeak 3 server for my friends and I to chat on whilst we're playing online games together, but no one can seem to join or see the server at all.

I have correctly setup multiple servers before -- before I switched to Vodafone Broadband -- and they all worked perfectly fine.

I've triple-checked all settings for my router, firewall and anti-virus.. no luck.

Both my PC and the PC hosting the server(s) are connected to the router via Ethernet cable (CAT-5e).

Router: Vodafone Connect

Router Firmware Ver.: 5.4.8.1.291.1.30.1.19 - The latest

Router Hardware type & Ver.: Huawei 963168_HUAWEIVOX25

This website canyouseeme.org I use to verify if the ports are open gives me the following message:

"Error: I could not see your service on (IP) on port (9987)
Reason: Connection timed out "

Required ports:

  • 9987 - UDP
  • 10011 - TCP
  • 30033 - TCP

Some questions:

  • Are the required ports blocked?
  • If they are blocked, can I get them unblocked?
  • Is port forwarding not allowed?

Thank you in advance.

@BreadnGravy Thanks for your post 🙂

Can you confirm for me that you're using our Vodafone Connect router when attempting to do this?

@BreadnGravy Apologies for the delay in reaching your post. Our router does offer Port forwarding and I've included the steps on how to set this up:

Port forwarding

You can do this by logging into your router menu:

- Go to vodafone.connect or 192.168.1.1

- Enter the password - vodafone

- In the top right, change this mode to expert mode

- Go to the Internet tab

- Click on Port Mapping on the left hand side

- Click on the plus option

- Select the device, enter the protocol you need and the type.

- Hit save and then apply

Let us know how you get on 🙂

Hi,

Like I said in my first post I have correctly setup multiple servers before. I've had no problems with the servers with previous ISPs I had.

I know how to correctly port forward and correctly set them up, but no matter what I try nothing works. I've even tried running it on another OS, reinstalling the current OS on that PC and using a completely different PC. No success.

@BreadnGravy

I've sent you a private message with details on how to get in touch.

For anyone else with the same issue, try the steps listed here and if you’re still affected, contact customer service.

Same issue for me (setup port forwarding multiple ISP but does not work on Vodafone Connect. Did you find a solution in the end?

Hi @vodauser123

Have you tried the steps that @Alex has posted?

If so, let us know what difference, if any, this makes.

Thanks

I have followed the steps outlined in this thread and port forwarding is still not working. Added both TCP and UDP, disabled Firewall and enabled Static NAT. Nothing is going through.
