Is online chat down ?

I'm a new customer trying to access my account for the first time and hitting brick wall after brick wall.

I've tried the onlince chat "Chat to us online - The quickest and easiest way to contact Vodafone" but all I get is "Loading, please wait". I have tried this in firefox, Chrome and Edge. So I don't think it's my end.

This is not filling me with a lot of confidence at the start of my dealings with Vodafone.

So. Is Online chat down ?

Well it's working for me, try opening it in a InPrivate window in Edge.

how long have you been with Vodafone? , and whats the question that you are wanting to chat to Vodafone about.

I really felt like writing, that's the best thing that could happen to chat,it went down for good, but I'm not sure which is the worse way to contact Vodafone.

Serious answer : the UK phone number for the (un)helpdesk.

Today's answer : surface mail with a second class stamp to their HQ in Newbury

I have just placed an order in the last 2 days and received an email to open my account. I tried to do this with no success, kept coming up with "internal error". But I've seen on another thread that stated this email is incorrect, and that you cannot open the account until your order is live. So now unsure which is correct. The thread, or the email. Of course I stupidly thought that a quick click of their "Chat to us online - The quickest and easiest way to contact Vodafone" button would actually work so then I could get an answer from Vodafone itself.
All this makes me wonder whether I am making the right decision in joining this company.

Thank you Jayach. That actually seems to be working.

Though it's crazy that we have to go to this length to get it to work.

Just had a chat with them online and it seems that some can activate their account, while other, like me, have to wait until their order activation date. Very flaky system.

He did give me a link that avois speaking to Tobi : https://www.vodafone.co.uk/bbservcd/

I tried it, and it is exactly the same as the others where it only works in Chrome incognito or Edge InPrivate. It does not work in Firefox Private window or any normal browser window. So weird.

Obviously a cookies problem, poor programming on Vodafone's part no doubt.

Edit: Useful link, why that isn't the "contact us" link at the bottom I don't know?

It's not a cookies issue as I only use Chrome rarely and Edge even less. Also clearing cookies makes no difference. There is something more going on. But they need to sort it out.
