I used to get 5ms ping to London (from Coventry), now I am being auto connected to Edinburugh and I get 15 ping to there, when I try to speedtest to London or even right next to me in Leicester I am getting pings above 22...I called in and they just said "they added new servers and there's nothing much we can do"...

any help?

Delete the entire thread? If there's still others still suffering from the same issue then maybe it's worth leaving it open for now?

No, just the post. I thought I'd found an up to date database of Vodafone IPs including the BNG's but I was wrong.

Mea culpa

Edited it for clarity :Winking_smiley:

It was great while it lasted. I'm back on the Edinburgh gateway

@Ripshod look at my previous posts, I’ve said it to @Gerry_Atric as well, when they move you back to your normal routing it will switch back and forth for a bit before settling. It just means you’re about to get fixed permanently over the next few days.

I'm not confident. Fingers crossed I'll be proved wrong.

Are you finding these forums a little slow to load?

At the time of posting it looks like Vodafone may be having a few technical issues with routing and their own web-servers!

90.255.255.90 and 90.255.255.255 are out of sync with each other.

Here at least forum.vodafone.co.uk is presently being served by fallover servers belonging to Incapsula.

It looks like there are routing problems within Vodafone at/around/but not limited to: 195.2.1.x

Have the streaming problems returned?

No streaming problems. Gaming is laggy. Speed tests are showing a big drop again.

Again a decent ping to edinburgh, but that's far from normal usage for me. Could the dns problem be throwing my results because speeds to those servers were fine yesterday after my gateway changed? I had better speeds on Superfast 2.

And to prove it's not my internal network my router has a built-in Ookla speed test.

This thread needs to be kept open. Although we can all see what is causing the high-ping problem, we need users to amass their complaints here.

My high ping is nothing compared with some folk's issues, but getting the same ping as Virgin Media  is not what I signed up for. From the trace below it is obvious that this is a Vodafone issue. The bottleneck is at 90.255.251.37 a Vodafone IP located in Southwark, London. I am in Coventry.

The speed test is optimal apart from the ping of 11ms (rounded from 11.42ms) Before VF outages way back in June, I was getting 6-8ms.

Tracing route to one.one.one.one [1.1.1.1]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms GT-AX11000-CBB0 [192.168.1.1]
2 6 ms 7 ms 7 ms 90.246.0.1
3 8 ms 7 ms 8 ms 63.130.104.202
4 9 ms 9 ms 9 ms 10.200.18.53
5 9 ms 9 ms 28 ms 90.255.251.37
6 9 ms 9 ms 9 ms 162.158.32.11
7 9 ms 9 ms 8 ms one.one.one.one [1.1.1.1]
