Here's the proof of throttling - Once I vpn out of the vodafone throttling wall twitch is working perfect at full video source.

It looks like throttling is around between 3.8 - 4 - once I hit up onto the vpn you will notice i'm up at around 10 and playback is perfect
There's too many other customers on here reporting the exact same issue for it to be a problem our side - I've tested multiple routers etc to rule that out - I created this new thread because now we can see it really is a vodafone problem.

Can you give an estimation when this will be changed back?

I understand the need of 1st line -- they take the initial brunt of a problem and filter out the fools whilst doing the admin tasks and triaging.
1st line NEED to understand that when a problem exists that they either do not understand [“what is a VPN”] or cannot FIX, they MUST escalate within minutes of this.
2nd line is similar - they have access to a few more tools and hopefully a better understanding of more peculiar problems with additional experience.
I work for a Networking company in the 3rd line department and I know for a fact in my line of work that if a problem comes in, and cannot be fixed by 1st line, in a very short period of time there is a 2nd or 3rd line dude standing 4 feet away with answers to their problems.
The fact that 1st and 2nd line are unaware of these issues WEEKS later – is disappointing and unforgivable.
Should a 1st line employee work for "a job" / "a pay packet" -- then in this line of work, they can get lost unless they WANT to exceed expectations.

Look's like its fixed .....if you are using a VPN and bypassing Vodafone & the 2G network CW.net.
Out of interest I decided to run a single connection speed test from speedtest.net. picture attached.
(One connected device - 1GB ethernet PC (Cat 6a) - wifi off DNS 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 )
My BT connection at work today (numerous hard wired devices / wireless printers / phone's / tablets all on wifi at the time of the test). Going to the same test server Vodafone London. The connection is 79 down / 18 up.
I decided to try also then try a single and multi connection download test from a reputable company (Nvidia). file size 550meg. pictures attached.
PS. I am currently on Vodafone top package available Gigafast 900mbps / 900mbps .

Note that tracert to www.netflix.com isn't very useful because the streaming video doesn't come from there.

I'm wondering if someone tried to run speed test over VPN?.... Well... Not sure if I want to put dd-wrt on my router (uptime around 6 months without a glitch)

Sounds like you solved the problem. VPN traffic isn't getting shaved. Time to upgrade router.
My advice would be to get pre-flashed dd-wrt router. You can do VPN for all house rather individual devices . It uses Open VPN protection, much better than VF...
And you could potentially watch for free IP TV share channels for £1 month, like ... UK famous bundle worth £60/month
