Here's the proof of throttling - Once I vpn out of the vodafone throttling wall twitch is working perfect at full video source.
PROOF of throttling - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWqlPPGcv6Q
It looks like throttling is around between 3.8 - 4 - once I hit up onto the vpn you will notice i'm up at around 10 and playback is perfect
There's too many other customers on here reporting the exact same issue for it to be a problem our side - I've tested multiple routers etc to rule that out - I created this new thread because now we can see it really is a vodafone problem.
this is my speed
Can you give an estimation when this will be changed back?

AFTER I SAID THE FIX IS NOT 100% THE UPDATE IS
Thursday about 11.am speed came back to 31/31 and has stayed at full speed on single & multi ,THERE IS A BUT
Thursday started getting high fec corrections. Not had any fec this year . Even vodafone tech 2 & 3 don't know why this has started today and Vodafone confirm i have not had this problem before in 2019
Issue of slow speed tuesday afternoon onward and all day wednesday and overnight . Thursday morning . Vodafone have absolutely no idea why because there was no congestion and said you should have got the full speed. So same again no idea why
TODAY FRIDAY
31MB single and multi speed all day even at peak time. Online portal 31MB constant .Still have high fec correction but my third party router seems to be coping with them at the moment.
I had high fec corrections last year when i joined on the 30th november. I had 2 vodafone router they both re sync every day and the sync dropped to about 16mb swapped to a third party router at the end of december and fec corrections stopped and sync speed went back to 31
i have agreed with the Vodafone specialist team to leave it a few days and see what happens

So you have been using a 3rd party router ? Has that helped with daily drop outs of Ethernet connections ? And which 1 please ?
16-03-2019 10:17 AM
im using a technicolor tg589vac 15.4 firmware with cwmp turned off so it does not connect back to my old isp and update the username and password back to the sse broadband one
the technicolor tg589vac router works very well
wifi range 100% better three story house and works every where ,vodafone router wont
no internet sync dropps , vodafone router dropped sync every day
no issue with wifi at all . vodafone router keeps disabling the wifi for 3 seconds and throws all the devices off
ethernet , no issues at all , vodafone router lot of user reports issues when using a hub keep throwing devices off.
some users have issues with the vodafone router generating very high fec connections on upload for no reasons and after a while will cause the router to reset the connection and the counter resulting in lower sync speed
the link has a small list that acording to customer work well on vodafone broadband

Thanks. My next step is 3rd party router I think....either to link archer 1200 or the Technicolor you use.
I think that is the 1 they use in ireland ... don't think any issue's there ! When I told Vodafone that Ireland use a different router he denied that saying same as we get..clearly not if you Google voda Ireland and see a white router made by Technicolor !
16-03-2019 11:00 AM
you mean these 3 routers on vodafone ireland
https://n.vodafone.ie/support/broadband-and-landline-hub.html
16-03-2019 01:00 PM
That's the ones ! But voda broadband technical dept tell me they use the same as us.... the black 1.... I told him I'm looking at the page now and they are white and think they Technicolor.... no they use same as UK. no they don't ! And I don't think 1% of the trouble there like we have so to me it points directly at our sub standard router
16-03-2019 01:35 PM
They have historically used a very similar model, based on the same reference ADB Cisco VOX 2.5 design, as has been supplied by Vodafone across Europe. Similar but not identical!

Just buy commercial grade router and forget all problems. Netgear, Asus, Linksys. All working like a breeze. My uptime over 7 months. Never had any drops since put VF Huawei into box

@Ianl49 I'm using Technicolor TG589vac v2 also for over a year (SIP phone didn't work with VF router). Works great, no drops, great wifi range and reasonably priced.
