Can interleaving be turned off for my line, please?

I understand this may mean a drop in speed.

Thanks!

The support staff you see on here cannot do much more than advise (except in extreme situations) on these boards if you have a support issue that requires intervention you have to either call support, use webchat, or private chat on social media.

Interleaving is a part of the VDSL connection between the modem in your router and the cabinet, and it's use is determined independently by the cabinet - other than getting a DLM reset and keeping your finger crossed there is no means to turn it off.  It's only ever really turned on if it's needed.

The normal reason for people wanting to turn it off is on-line gaming or having weird ideas about what normal/average latencies are.

Perhaps you could let us know your ping and saturated connection latencies are to a server that you are regularly using.

Yes, it's for gaming reasons. Obviously, the lower the latency, the better. So if removing interleaving is possible to shave a few milliseconds, then I'm all for it.
