I have been with Vodafone Broadband since January. My Sync speeds started at 17Mb/s which was fine since I stay about half a mile away from my cabinet. The speed slowed after a month to 7Mb/s and after an online chat an engineer from Openreach came at the end of March and managed to get me reconnected at approx 18Mb/s. Again, all fine. Recently my speed has dropped to 10Mb/s, actually exactly 10000kbit/s and I have tried reconnecting and turning the router off overnight but still the connection stays at exactly 10000kbit/s. My router is connected into the test socket and has a micro-filter between the test socket and the router.

9.9dB downstream and 6.3dB upstream. As you say at least now I know there is no fixed cap on my VDSL.

The downstream should be about 6.3 like the upstream. DLM may adjust it over the next few weeks, a DLM reset would probably be a good idea, but getting Vodafone to do that seems impossible.

Half a mile is about 0.8 km. There is a very good walking app called step tracker & pedometer it uses the GPS on your phone and it measures how far you have walked. it's great for checking the distance to the cabinet

also what router are you using, is it the thg3000 or the thg3000 v2 or are you using your own

also, what is your min guarantee speed from Vodafone
