Internet keeps dropping and slow speed

Hello i did start another topic on the connection pages as ive been having poor performance. 

However im wondering if its more than the router itself.

Ive just done a google speedtest on my mobile and its 1.3 download speed.

Im on the vodafone superfast 2 package and should be guaranteed 17mb so what do i do about this. Is there a email address i can contact. Or something else?

I'm a little confused why you would be on Superfast 2 if you only expect 17mbs.

The mods will suggest you contact Vodafone by the social media channels.

In the meantime could you post the DSL stats, we may be able to suggest something.

They should look something like this:

Firstly i expect 17mb because when i took the broadband package it said i would get 35mb on ave with a guaranteed 17mb which im not getting at the moment.

 

Could you explain how i go about getting them stats

It might be different  depending on which router you have. Mine is the THG3000.

First log into the router 192.168.1.1 

Password is on the router somewhere if you haven't changed it, mine is on the bottom.

Go to Status & Support and click on DSL status.

You should find all the stats there, just copy and paste them from there into the forum.

I have used google speedtest to do the following tests. using laptop and mobile phone in same places to gather results

18.20 pm Laptop wired by ethernet cable (1m from router) 35 download 8 upload

18.24pm Laptop by wifi (1m away from router) 35 download 6 upload

18.26pm Mobile by wifi (1m away from router) 34 download 7 upload

 

18.30pm Laptop by wifi in dining room (6m away from router) 35 download 8 upload

18.32pm Mobile by wifi in dinning room (6m away from router) 34 download 7 upload

 

18.34pm Laptop by wifi in upstairs bathroom furthest away from the router i can get indoors 31 download  7 upload

18.36pm Mobile by wifi  upstairs bathroom 9 download 6 upload

18.37 Mobile again 7 download 7 upload

18.38 mobile again15 download 7 upload

 

 

so laptop has anything from 31 to 35 any room, mobile has 34 download downstairs but upstairs it varies from 7 to 15 download
