I have Superfast 1 supposedly running at 35MBPS download and around 10MBPS upload.
Download is OK, as usually around 25MBPS but UPLOAD is always around 0.7MBPS.
I have chatted to Vodafone tech online on 2 occasions and amended the DNS setting as suggested but absolutely no improvement.
Main PC with this performance is ethernet connection not wireless.
Any suggestions out there to get a decent upload speed so I can back up properly, etc. ?
thanks in advance.

Changing the DNS will not alter your upload speeds. DNS takes text-based web addresses and converts them into IP addresses, it has nothing to do with the path over which your data is routed. *Starting to think changing the DNS servers is the new splitting the SSIDs with VF support staff (yes there are things it'll fix, but if your cat dies changing the DNS is not going to reanimate it - rant over).
I know it's a pain to do, but it'd help to know, if you could turn off/disable all but one (first WiFi, then wired) device on the network and see if the upload speed is still bad. If you have a spare microfilter, try swapping it over.
*I actually doubt anything in this post is going to help, but let us know how you get on!

errrr
Flogging a Dead Horse maybe a better metaphor.
So yes, connect directly into the test part of the wallbox if you can, that way no telephone interference, and try again.
You could run a few things on the PC?
Like
@ECHO OFF getmac netsh lan show interfaces netsh wlan show drivers netsh wlan show interfaces PAUSE systeminfo PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter" PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver" PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed" PowerShell -Command "Test-NetConnection" PAUSE
Some, all or none of the above.
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"

thanks for the info - much appreciataed.
Have tried turning ofdf everything except main PC on ethernet = no difference.
Wireless speeds almost identicakl to ethernet,
VF support were the ones advising to change DNS setting = no difference.
Also wired into enginners port on incoming so no microfilter there.
Any other suggestions welcome - I think VF are just throttling back the upload speed.

errr
post some results?
DSL Status Information
Line Quality
Current Rate | 75360 kbps | 19999 kbps |
Maximum Rate | 78675 kbps | 22785 kbps |
Signal-to-Noise Ratio | 5.6 dB | 7.3 dB |
Attenuation | DS1 5.1 dB, DS2 11.9 dB, DS3 19.5 dB | US0 3.4 dB, US1 10.1 dB, US2 15.0 dB |
Power | 13.5 dBm | -6.2 dBm |
CRC Errors in last 21587 minute(s) | 0 | 4429 |
K (number of bytes in DMT frame) | 0 | 0 |
The SNR (signal to noise ratio) is important.
Downlink target SNR margin (dB) Downlink connection speed (kbps)18 (worst case) | 3008 |
15 | 3616 |
12 | 4096 |
9 (TalkTalk's initial default) | 4768 |
6 (BT's initial default) | 5568 |
3 | 6240 |
1 | 6624 |
You can see that the higher the number the worse the speed, mine is 7.3 meaning a loss of upload speed.
19999 out of 22785, yours could be catastrophic.
If in doubt please ask.

The attachment suggests you may be on the wrong connection.
SO
Begin at the beginning, find your agreement and invoices with VF and and be absolutely certain you are on the 35 MBBS service according to your contract.
THEN get VF to have OpenReach prove/show you are on that connected service.

Many thanks - will get VF to check those details.
WIll let you know !!
