Gigafast landline no dial tone

Had a Gigafast a few months and phone was working find outgoing and incoming.

Suddenly there is no dial tone so can not make outgoing calls. Incoming calls work but line is degraded (caller sounds distant though they can hear us OK).

Is this likely to be a phone issue, issue with splitter/wiring or an issue with the line itself?

Broadband is working fine.

I'm not sure how the phone line works on Gigafast but I assumed if broadband was working fine so should the landline phone connection...

If your broadband is working fine @picnoir, it sounds like the issue is connected to something inside your property. Have you been able to try another phone with your line, or your phone with another connection? This would allow us to rule it out of our investigation and check the other equipment you're using.

I had some electric work done on Monday so had to power down the router for 40 minutes. When rebooted the phone was working fine again.
