I have successfully proved my age, turned off the age restriction bar but sites are still blocked. I no longer get the Vodafone block page but a generic page cannot be displayed.
Data only SIM in a mifi device.
We have seen on occasion that even when a person has toggled Off the Age Restriction at their end it's still held at Vodafone's end.

That or a Vodafone Highstreet Store can help but take some photo ID. They helped me with the same situation.
Check no security suite software is hindering.
Also clear the cache and cookies and history of your browser before attempting to connect to sites you did when the Age Restriction was activated.
Sometimes trying another browser helps too.
