Data sim activated - not registered on network error

I have purchased a data sim and chromebook bundle, I have activated my sim but I can not connect to the vodafone network via the sim - I get a 'not registered on network' error.

Used the scan for networks and selected Vodafone from the list - chromebook tells me that the sim is activated.

Unsure what else to try here ? 🤕
