Can you clarify a little please.
The wording of your post is a little confusing.
I.e is this working in your car or not?
Have you tried it in another device?
Is this a new data SIM ?
Have you checked your myvodafone for any caps etc ?
Customer services on 191 or Live Chat can check your account.

It is not working. New data only sim bought last week. When I try to do anything the car says not able to as need to add sim

Ok so if.this was me I would.....
Check in with Vodafone UK that the account is set up and turned On. I assume you took out the data SIM directly with Vodafone.
If Vodafone UK say everything's turned On then.....
Look for other forums of people who use your make and model of car and see if they can help.
Speak to the car dealership.
