Welcome to Vodafone Community
I've had an update that this should be done within the next few days @itw3ltd 👍 The sites been re-categorised on our Secure Net system, now we're just updating our internet content controls. If there's anything else I can help you with, you know where to get in touch.
I run a site roguegames.co.uk. It sells board games. It is being blocked by vodafone secure net, can it be removed from the blacklist?
Could you please arrange for https://openclimb.ca/ to be whitelisted?
It's used as a service for the Open Climb Android app which won't work if I'm connecting via mobile data.
Are other carriers this restrictive? Restricting access to sites like Urban Dictionary seems a bit puritanical.
Hi Natasha, I would, but your image upload facility also appears to be on the blink. I've tried in both Firefox and Chrome. I'm left hanging with both.
The domain is inaccessible on both of my Vodafone numbers (different models, different contracts). One has the following message when attempting to browse to https://openclimb.ca: "Vodafone age-restricted content controls."
I can connect fine via WiFi or via VPN on mobile data. This, along with being redirected to a Vodafone restricted content page, is a very good indicator that Vodafone are actively blocking this site.
The app also displays an error message when trying to use it.
To be completely honest, I fail to see how a screenshot would help you diagnose the issue.
We have been informed by a number of our customers that our retail site is being blocked by your content control system.
I am also a Gigafast customer and discover that it is also blocked unless I remove the content control within my account.
We a retail site of movie and entertainment related memorabilia including cutouts, posters, masks and t-shirts - many of which are intended for themed events and children's parties.
For example we have social media bloggers and influencers sharing links to our site for ideas for themed kids parties and it is unnerving for potential customers to suddenly be faced with this content restriction warning screen.
Please can you request from your internal team that our site is re-categorised to retail - it is not an adult site.
Alternatively, please provide me with the contact details of the relevant team.
Thank you very much for your help.
@AMS1979 I've had an update from the team with your site and they've confirmed this isn't blocked by our network. I've tested this from my side and can confirm this. If you could send us a screenshot of the error you're seeing when accessing the site, I can take a closer look into this for you.
Right I've done some more testing and there is definitely a big problem.
I am on Vodafone Gigafast (not regular broadband). When I try to navigate to our site and have any of the content control profiles set:
Safe - This blocks Malicious sites
Super safe - This blocks all content categories apart from Sex Education, Social Networks and Games
Ultra safe - This blocks all content categories
The site will not display and is shown as a timeout error (please see attachment).
If I turn the content control off - I can access the site absolutely fine.
My colleague who has a Vodafone mobile contract and also a home broadband (not gigagast) receives a an actual content restriction screen - please see attached. I do not receive this however - it is blocked int he form of a timeout. It has always been this way since the service was made live. I raised it the day the service was activated with your customer support team and they thought it was strange and put it down to me just having been activated. They asked me to use Google's DNS servers which I did as I needed to work from home and haven't changed them until now following this report from my colleague.
Unsure if the attachments have gone through? I have attached again
