Company website blocked on Vodafone

Hello,

our company website www.faceit.com is being blocked by Vodafone since yesterday, stating that the SSL certificate is not valid.

The SSL certificate is valid, this is happening only when using the Vodafone mobile network.

Would it be possible to fix the issue, as it's affecting our users?

Thank you

Thanks for sending that over @emas So with that message popping up, the Vodafone user has an Adult Content Bar on their number. Without the content bar active, they should have full access as we have tested the site with no restrictions and no SecureNet on a Vodafone SIM and we have full access.

Have all of the Vodafone users reporting this issue got the Adult Content Bar active on their number?

You mentioned that this issue started last Thursday, were Vodafone users able to access the site previously?

When was the last time your IT team swept the site for viruses, malware, spam etc?

Do you have a new security certificate from any date after last Thursday that shows there are no issues with the site?

Hi,

I have already spoken to the hosting company as I am the web developer for this site. Are several checks and scans there were no issues found.

The site works fine on wifi and we have tested several networks on several devices.

The site shows the 18 adult content only on Vodafone data from what we can see. Our hosting providers and also confirmed this.  We have also opened a ticked with McAfee regarding this issue but it is definitely only happening on Vodafone whilst using data.

The SSL certificate is up to date and correct and issued through our hosting provider Krystal Hosting based in the UK.

If this is not a Vodafone issue, then why is the issue only happening on vodafone. We have checked several devices from different IP address to rule out an IP issue. All caches cleared and checked through incognito too.

@AuraGlowdo you mind moving the conversation about your site into another thread?

It is creating some confusion on who is doing what for which company.

Thanks

Hey @AuraGlow your site has not yet been checked. Once it has and the team give us an update, we will let you know. Those questions were directed to @emas

Apologies to keep adding to this thread about another issue. @AuraGlow The website has been found to contain multiple phishing and malicious viruses. If you can clear your website of these we can request another review. This site is blocked by more than just us, you can get an overview here: VirusTotal - URL - a1ff27ca08ae7fda9b56c0a61eb27a95d842d5936eb41f264b2f65a1e4207d14

I don't understand we have already completed these scans and nothing was found. I have noticed your checks are on a http and not https. Would that make a difference as the result are different for https.

Thanks

It still routes to the same website it just changes the type of connection with the server.

Hi, So who do I have to contact to get this checked and the blocked status removed. We have just checked the site again and have written to Cisco to remove the block.  Our hosting provider said that this is a false positive result and the site is clean. If you have any information as to what the exact issue is we can take a look, just in case it has been overlooked.

Many thanks

Sirfraz

We go by a third party who provide security review for internet connections. We don't get the details on what to do to resolve. We only hear the result of the review. It appears to be wider than us as I use Virginmedia and it's blocked by them as well.
