I bought a SIM planning to switch from my current provider. However before getting the PAC code etc. I checked my local coverage would be OK. Awful - sometimes virtually unusable. So I checked the Vodafone network status online. That was a month ago - known network issues...
Here we are now, a month later, and Vodafone status shows exactly the same message about network issues on 2G, 3G, 4G etc. And the extra info says it's taking a bit longer than usual to fix things.
The mast in question is located at [Removed]. - can someone at Vodafone explain what's going on; why it takes so long to repair or replace some equipment?

Hi @Grabthar, we advise against posting personal information such as your postcode publicly. Via our forum, adding this to your profile where only yourself and our team can view it, is much more secure. We've rejected your images as these also contain your postcode.
With regards to the issue being experienced via your local mast (5071) it looks like there's been some technical issues causing an imbalance with the signal strength. Our team are looking into this, but as your update suggests it's taking longer than expected to isolate and eliminate the cause. You can use our Network Status Checker to register for regular updates on our progress resolving this. We can also provide these here, or via out social channels.

Thank you, Mark. At least I know why Vodafone engineers are struggling to fix things.
And thank you for the warning about posting personal details. I'm forever telling people the same thing. Actually, I only posted the location of the mast (not my location) and for this forum I'm using a fake name and email!
I can't sign up for status alerts because I bought a Lebara SIM and the number isn't recognized for the alerts. I'll just keep checking the status page.
Thanks again. I didn't dare hope for a reply.
