Hi, I'm a Lebara customer (who use the Vodafone network).
When I was with my previous network (Tesco) I was able to use data whilst on a voice call.
This is not the case with Lebara.
I have called up they're customer services again and again who have sent me configuration messages which don't make a difference again and again.
Until today, where I spoke to a chap who said it was due to the 3g network being switched off.
Is this true?
Is there absolutely no way to get voice and data to work simultaneously? It seems like a bit of a flaw if true.
I have looked for Volte and Lte settings in my phone's (Motorola g8 power lite) settings menu and they don't exist.

What happens when you are on a call, does your phone drop to 2G? It's a 4 year old phone, it may not support VoLTE. What version of Android is it running? Have you checked for any updates from Motorola?

Sorry I just lost a long reply. To summarise:
When I am on a call, the 4g symbol disappears and is replaced by either a "g" or an "e".
The Motorola G8 power lite does support Volte, according to this guide I found on the Vodafone website:
However, that is for Android 9.
On Android 10, there is no such option
I have checked that the Android version is up to date.
I never used to have this problem on the Tesco network. However, that might have been when I was still on Android 9.
I'm all outta ideas!

I suspect you won't like this answer, but it's time to buy a new phone.
You could try to swap to a non Vodafone provider and see if VoLTE works, but you are running an end of life OS and needing features that require recent updates to keep them working. If you are doing anything like online banking on your phone, a supported in life OS is going to help keep everything secure.

Ah so it's the lack of updates resulting in this?
A perfectly good phone relegated to the dustbin just because the manufacturer can't be bothered to write a few lines of new code.
It's frustrating because the next phone will simply be discontinued after a couple of years as well.
According to the manufacturer and Lebara/Vodafone, it supports volte/LTE.
But now it apparently doesn't, which makes diagnosis really confusing because it's contrary to the actual situation.

@Lebaracustomer If you are feeling brave you may be able to upgrade the Android version yourself. Go to the site XDA Developers and look in the section for your phone.
I have successfully upgraded an old Google Pixel 3 from version 8 to 11.

The joys of MVNO customer service!

It's not like you get any better service from a MNO nowadays.

Sadly true. Even some of the "technical support" agents are a bit ropey on the basics sometimes!
