I havent had a signal, apart from a couple of minutes now and then for the past week.  Ive looked at the network status map and it shows that there is a network issue in the area but I wondering how long it will be until it is fixed.

You should be able to Register for Updates within the Vodafone Network Checker @maxemoo3

In regards to timescales Vodafone explain here > Network-queries-frequently-asked-questions - 2) Why can't you give me a timescale on the fix?
