im having some issues with the signal quality on my iPhone XS Max. It’s worked fine, but then last night the phone just said “no service”. Took it into my local shop and they changed the sim, and it started working again, however the signal is nothing like it was. It’s slow, and I never get anymore than a 3G connection, whereas before it was always 4G.
I’ve checked the setting and 4G is enables, ive tried resetting the network setting and then the phone and started as a new phone thinking my carrier setting might need updating, but it’s not giving me the option.
any ideas? I really don’t want to have to go and spend another hour in the shop if I can avoid it!
Thanks in advance
If you have completed a SIM swap, that rules out a SIM fault. The first thing to do is to go through the troubleshooting tips and complete the pro forma on the link below, this will give the Team an example of the problem and something to work on before getting back to you.
Sometimes a soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On can work wonders .
You could also try hooking upto iTunes on a computer and it may update regarding the carrier settings.
Apples official page is Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad.
As a process of elimination can you try your sim card in another phone to.cjeck.signal etc.
