Beyond a joke!! Expensive Unlimited Max contract - as well as 2 other non-max contracts - up to yesterdays storm worked well with 30+ down & 10-15 up at home and was proving vital for home working - now after lightening storm during which 4g went out totally at 06.30 - download is marginal, under 1mb & upload 0.3 !! (at the same time as the vodafone home broadband & phone line has also been lost completely & awaiting a fix)
Have checked, and signal is fine half a mile up the road - has always been fine here also - I don;t know a lot about the mast technology but something has happened due to the lightening - it is as if there are several directional aerials and 1 has been fried resulting in a loss of signal in our direction.
Contacted support - USELESS - just went on about the settings in phone - well it is not 1 phone but THREE (plus a PAYG also) and all are affected, and only at this location. There are 2 potential masts that the signal comes from - surely Vodafone can sort this seeing I;m doing half their work in identifying when a mast has a problem!!?
I think the next step is to use the template in the following Vodafone link and paste it back here with your answers so the Vodafone Social Media Teams here can look over your answer's to check your masts and if deemed necessary inform the networking team @ComsumersChamp
I understand it's another hoop to jump through but this could help your situation if your signal hasn't returned properly.
If other Vodafone users are experiencing the same issues where you are i.e neighbours or visitors then see if they can also report the issue to lend further weight to the issue.
I wish you all the best with this situation.
