Morning All,
I don't know about any of you, but I'm starting to get really excited for the new F1 season which is just around the corner!
Forums I've used in the past have always had an F1 thread the members can use to talk about any news, upcoming races and so on, so now we have this off topic section, I thought I'd create one here too!
So, who do you follow and what are your hopes for the coming season?
I'm a die-hard McLaren fan, so am eagerly awaiting the new car launch on 4th February. From what the team were saying when I visited the MTC back in November, this should be a competitive year, so I'm hoping for Lewis to win his second championship.

I never got to see the old PPV service Sky did back in the 00s- didn't they run something for a while where you could choose which car to watch for the whole race or something like that?
For me that'd be a huge pull, some of the local camerawork at certain races is just awful, so that kind of thing would interest me and I think that's what Sky would do.
That said, isn't there an EEC ruling that F1 has to be free to air for anyone to watch? If so, I don't see how they can do it. It's easy for me to say I like the idea because I have Sky, but I can see the other side of the coin too.

I would like to see refuelling brought back. That along with the Pirelli tyres, would make for some manic pit stops.
My wife and I used to enjoy working out at what lap each driver would have to refuel.

His reaction? I saw the race but was something said after? Didn't see that bit.
Thought that was a solid drive, hope he stays at McLaren. He's having a tough time but there are few drivers as entertaining as him.
After Qualy he seemed so down and fed up.
He had a good race, great battle with webber!

I can understand his reaction. He finally gets pole but only when it doesn't matter in any way. Silly comments from DC saying he's rediscovered his best form etc - the fact is he's not lacked speed this season, just patience and a competetive car. I'm sure he'll be back to his best next season though.

F1 2011 - Hows everyone finding this?
I got it a couple of weeks ago. On the whole I think its good and good step up from 2010 although it’s a bit of a learning curve on the control of the car compared to last years.
I'm not sure what it is but I think they (Codemasters) will need to add something to future releases to keep me buying as the longevity of the game isn't all that great in my personal opinion. Once I've completed the first 1 or 2 seasons I find very little reason to continue even on expert difficulty. I suppose I could learn manual gears but I find it so fiddly on a controller.

Wayne,
The game itself is great, big improvement over 2010, they have done well with the safety car and prielli tyres. I know what you mean about the controls, thye are a steep learning curve from the previous game.
However I've played 2 seasons and im bored of it. There is only so miuch you can do. Even playing it online gets a bit boring after a few races.
