snaptu brings smartphone style applications to basic featurephones and even some black and white displaved GPRS devices too.

is this a good thing? what do you think.

I will begin reviewing the app tomorrow.

Hi Paul,

Good spot! Looks really interesting, I know everyone expects the boom to be with smartphones nowadays, but I like the fact this will extend some great services to those who haven't got "smart" devices yet.

I downloaded and installed it on a Sony Ericsson W715 out of interest, it installs and runs easily. Unfortunately I couldn't get into the app itself as it requires carrier support to work apparently, it won't work straight out of the box on any network.

If you have any more luck than I did, or have a clever way of making it work, I look forward to reading your blog :Smiling:

I hit the same stumbling block after posting this too. I would have thought it would have just eaten out of data allowance.

CURSE YOU SNAPTU!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be inspecting the .JAR file soon, to see if we can make it work somehow.

If you are new to snaptu download the original app - http://m.snaptu.com

and for more info http://www.snaptu.com

This works on All java enabled devices, and likes wifi or network connections.

I doubt the .JAR file will help much if you need network carrier support.

best of luck though.
